Formed in 1979, and featuring Steve Grimmett (vocals), Nick Bowcott (guitars), Dave Wanklin (bass) and Lee Hams (drums), Grim Reaper are a typical example of the bands that formed the UK heavy metal revival of the early 80s known as the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. They epitomized most of the movement's strengths (a fresh, down-to-earth approach, enthusiasm, and powerful but melodic guitar riffs). In 1994 one of their videos was dragged out of the crates in the MTV cartoon Beavis And Butthead, and was introduced with an incredulous 'Is this Spinal Tap?'. While they flirted with infernal imagery, Grim Reaper were never a Satanic band, as was claimed by some critics (including fundamentalist Christian preachers). Their debut, See You In Hell, was probably Grim Reaper's finest moment. We're not completely thrilled with the final issue of this series. It felt like the characters were a bit removed from their environment. Comic Book Comics deals with the history of comic books in the form of a comic. It truly represents what a comic is all about and we think it's really well done and a great read for beginners. This intro is used throughout the first four seasons. A modified version is eventually introduced in season 5, episode 5 (Longshot). In this new intro, the beginning of the theme is slightly changed. New fighting scenes are also added. The credit sequence consisted of rotating 3D models of the different team-members set to the theme. When UPN began airing repeats on Sunday mornings an alternate credits sequence was used: instead, a montage of clips from the series was used. BRASIL: Rede Globo cut all of the intro sequence except for the logo at its end -- which they do to almost all animated series they air. The American intro was retained when it was aired later on Fox Kids and Jetix. Sound, the infinite frontier! Science had chopped the world into atoms, components from which to build. Modern art deconstructed reality, reconstructing our perceptions of it. And the first Electronic Music likewise took apart sound and turned it inside out for new compositions. Vladimir Ussachevsky founded the first Electronic Music Center jointly with Columbian and Princeton universities in 1952. He brought in avant composers from countries worldwide with new perspectives and radical expirementation. This included women like Daria Semegen, Pril Smiley, Wendy Carlos, and Alice Shields. In the 50's, Electronic Music was distortions of recordings. Sounds on a tape recorder would be manipulated by feedback, repeated spliced loops, overlapping tracks with multiple recorders, and using oscillators and reverb to sculpt the tempo, tone, or texture. This prevailed in continually advancing ways well through the 1960s. Alice used these techniques in creating this composition. A gifted mezzesoprano, she first sang a poem she'd written. She accompanied this with the first analog Buchla synthesizer, a rare and recent device only beginning to draw the attention of the hippest pop musicians. She then manipulated pitch and speed in textural patterns to supplement the freeform song. This was the cutting edge music of the future, usually heard only in academic circles. So what's this? Well, ABC.com had a contest before Comic-Con 2009 where fans of Lost could submit fake theme music for the show. My brother Mat and I (Grape Soda) took a stab at the contest but of course missed the deadline by a day. What to do? Soldier on of course! So we enlisted Jesse (another of my brothers) to help assemble this "What-If?" opening from an alternate history where Lost was created and aired in 1967 as a campy sci-fi action series. Obviously ABC owns Lost and this is a loving tribute made by fans. ABC retains all rights to the images used. Do us a favor and take it in the spirit in which it was intended. Namaste! Seeing the whole ship, and wandering around inside, well it's just a beautiful thing. Building the Enterprise from the inside out has been an extreme challenge. I'm just not sure what to do with it next: any suggestions? I'd like it if people were able to wander thru the model, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this, especially with the copyright issues.

JJ Abram's Artists were charged with giving the new Star Trek movie's Enterprise a modern, more sleek look. What they ended up doing was betraying every fan out there with a hideous positioning of the sections of the ship. I went ahead and changed it, it took a few minutes, but it's still an improvement =) To TMP Soundtrack (RIP Jerry Goldsmith) I've put some 'real' starships in the rest of the video. Enjoy, and try passing the word to JJ that he accepted one of the worst re-designs possible.

A lot of people complained about the Enterprise intro, because it didn't follow the classic Trek style. I completely disagree, because new things are what will keep trek fresh. I also think the Enterprise intro inspired more hope in me for the human race than any of the other intros did, because it was about the journey; the heart of Trek. I also thought the drum beat they added in the later seasons took away from its power. Nevertheless, I still wanted to see what a version without lyrics would be like. I used the alternate recording of the song and synced it to the original intro. Because it is considerably shorter, I had to chop away about 15 seconds of footage, and redo the fades. I still think it holds up. I also had to add new sound effects for the Enterprise at the end, cause the original effects had music over them. I sampled those from the video game Star Trek: Legacy. No copyright infringement is intended, this video was not made for profit.
