Tornado Warning for Baltimore and Howard Counties, Maryland

A Tornado Warning remains in effect until 2:00 PM EDT for Southwestern Baltimore and eastern Howard counties. At 1:50 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Ellicott City, or near Columbia, moving Southeast at 35 mph.

Hazard, tornado and tennis ball size hail.

Source, radar indicated rotation.

Impact: For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and Windows may occur. Mobile Homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm will be near. Catonsville around 1:55 PM EDT. Elkridge, Woodlawn, Arbutus and Savage-guilford around 2:00 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Ilchester, Daniels, Savage, Simpsonville, Clarksville, Oella, D Ayton. Jessup and Scaggsville.
